PyCon mini Tokyo with PythonAsia conference — December 12, 2026

PyCon JP and the Python Asia Organization (PAO) will co-host a new collaboration event: PyCon mini Tokyo with PythonAsia conference, on Saturday, December 12, 2026, in Shibuya, Tokyo.

What It Is

A one-day Python conference built around one idea: exchange between Japan's Python community and the communities of the rest of Asia (and the world in fact). It runs in two tracks — one in Japanese, one in English — so locals and international visitors get equal footing in the program.

This is the first event we have co-hosted. We previewed it at our open space at PyCon JP 2026 in Hiroshima, and it is now confirmed with a date and a venue.

Keynote

PAO will be inviting two keynote speakers who both work on security at the Python Software Foundation:

Seth Larson, Python Security Developer in Residence, PSF — working on CPython, PyPI, and ecosystem-wide security.
Mike Fiedler, PyPI Safety and Security Engineer, PSF — over thirty years in software and systems, now focused on keeping PyPI safe.

Their session is planned as one keynote slot shared by both speakers.

Registration

Registration has not opened yet. It opens October 1, 2026, at 09:00 (JST) on connpass, and closes on the day of the event.

General: ¥1,500 (food and drink, paid at the door), 150 spots
Student: ¥500 (food and drink, paid at the door), 20 spots
Patron: ¥10,000 (paid at the door), 10 spots
